Hotel Tioga Window Assessment

Rosin Preservation conducted a window survey to support the historic tax credit rehabilitation of Hotel Tioga in Merced, California. The 90-year old hotel retained a mix of original and non-historic steel and wood windows. Rosin Preservation documented and evaluated each window (sash and frame) to determine its condition and feasibility to repair. Our assessment and recommendation, approved by SHPO and NPS, supported the replacement of deteriorated windows with compatible new windows that meet the Standards for Rehabilitation.
