Design Guidelines and Rehabilitation Techniques

The City of Ponca City contracted Rosin Preservation to develop Design Guidelines tailored to the specific conditions and character of the potential local historic district that follows the existing Downtown Ponca City National Register Historic District. Rosin Preservation gathered information about resources in the district and examined existing zoning and building code regulations, as well as the existing design guidelines for an adjacent residential district. Rosin Preservation conducted public meetings and prepared a user-friendly document that provided background information about the district and its important physical features and offered guidance for future rehabilitation and maintenance work that respected those features.
